The camel pose in yoga is performed on your knees. Place your knees about hip width apart and parallel to each other. Place your hands on your lower back. Draw your belly in to stabilize your back. Inhale and lift your chest, placing your hands behind you on your heels. Hold this position for 5-15 breaths. Go into child’s pose with your buttocks on your heels and your arms above your head relaxing on the ground for a few breaths afterward to balance out the pose.
This pose will stimulate the adrenal glands and the thyroid glands and give you an overall energy boost. It will also relieve constipation.
